Thanksgiving

It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday. Were has the year gone? Sean and I are busy this week/weekend celebrating Thanksgiving with all three sets of our parents!! We went to Sean's Dad's on Sunday to celebrate with them and Lisa's side of the family. On Thanksgiving we are going to my parents house and then on Saturday we will be heading to Sean's Mom's house. I think after eating all of this delicious food we will be 15 pounds heavier.
We are running in a 4.5 mile race on Thanksgiving morning! I thought it would be a good idea to get in a run before eating all kinds of food. My fingers are crossed that it doesn't rain or snow til after the race. It is suppose to be in the thirty's Thursday and being cold and wet is not a good combination.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Halloween Party

The Halloween party was a blast! We had around 37 people show up at some point in the night. I think everyone had a great time and loved seeing everyone. Melvin did very well for that many people coming in and out of the house. We were a little worried at first but he did fine thank goodness.
Saturday the boys went to see Zombieland and the girls went shopping. We went out to Broadripple that night. We had fun seeing all the different costumes people came up with.
Sunday Sean had band. They recorded one of there songs called "The Basement." They can't wait for the guy to edit it so they can hear the finished product!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We are having a party tonight at our house to celebrate Halloween. I am very excited to see all of our friends and the costume that they will be sporting. This is the first party we have had at our house where both Sean and I's friends have both been invited. So there are going to be TONS of people at our house. We are expecting about 35 to 40 people to show up at some point this evening.

I spent most of my evening cooking and decorating last night. We are going to have all kinds of goodies at this party: rice crispy treats, bean dip, Halloween sugar cookies, Halloween candy, chex mix, and cheese dip. Our house is all decorated. We made several different Halloween purchases this year to help our house look festive.

Sean and I are dressing up as Batman/Batwoman. We bought our outfits in early October and have been anxiously waiting to wear them. Melvin was going to be Batdog but the costume I ordered him was WAY too big. So now he is going to be Mr. Melvin the prisoner. Stay toned for pictures next week sometime!

Sean and I got engaged last year at this time. Amazing how many wonderful things can happen in one year. 2009 has been a fantastic year for us so far!

My Weekly Update :)

I am trying to get back to my normal workout routine. I have been a little off track since Sean and I got married. So I am trying to get back into it and lose a few extra pounds. Whitney and I have been going to Zumba at least once a week and I am trying to get back into my running routine. In fact I ran 5 miles last week! I am trying to start training a little now for the half marathon I will be running in May. The more I train now the easier running will be for me closer to race time.

My Grandma is having some issues with her lungs and is going through some test this week to make sure her heart is strong enough to perform a lung biopsy. So please keep her in your prayers these next few weeks until we figure out what is wrong with her. She has been dealing with this since July and things just keep getting progressively worse. So we hope we can figure out the issue and get her healthy again soon!

Update on Sean's Band: Sean's band recently ordered t-shirts! Several of our friends and family members per-ordered shirts and those should be in sometime before Halloween. If you missed out on ordering a shirt and still want one please let us know.
They will be recording on November 1st. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that this goes well and they are satisfied with the outcome. They do not have any shows lined up at this time but are in search of one. So as soon as they get one booked we will be sure to let all of you know.

Fall is here!

It has been several month since I last posted. Sorry, life has been a little on the crazy side. I am not officially Mrs. Morgan Rooney!! The wedding and honeymoon were a blast!!! Sean and I had a fantastic time. We are enjoying married life and so far we love it!
Fall is here and in full swing. I can honestly say I have always disliked fall until this year. Sean and I have a lot of fun things planned this fall with family and friends. We are having a Halloween party at our house on Friday, Oct 30th. We are really looking forward to that. In fact Sean and I have our costumes ordered and our house decorated! Now if we could just find Melvin a Halloween costume. We are searching we just haven't found the right one quite yet.
Sean and I made a big purchase a few weekends ago. We bought our first flat screen television and entertainment center. The TV is suppose to be delivered sometime next week and we are still waiting to hear when our entertainment center will arrive. Yes, that's right folks we are no longer going to be using Sean's punk rock entertainment center! I am so excited!! I am hoping everything will arrive before our party but if not hopefully sooner than later. Our house is finally starting to come together!

Last Weekend

This weekend was a very fun and relaxing weekend.

Friday:
We watched James (Sean's little brother). It was his birthday last weekend so Sean took him to Skiers Edge and bought him a new skateboard. They skateboarded in our basement most of the evening. It was very entertaining to watch that if for sure. Sean was trying to keep up with James and well he is a little out of practice.

Saturday:
I went wedding shopping with my mom and sister. I needed to pick up a few final items and go to Mac to pick out make-up for the wedding. Sean and I then went to see The Ugly Truth (fantastic movie....I can't wait until it comes out on DVD) and had dinner at Mo's Irish Pub with my parents.

Sunday:
We went to the gym and hung out at the pool all day with Ina! We all got a lot of sun and it was a very relaxing day. That evening we just hung out and worked on some wedding stuff.

Only 19 more days until the wedding!!! It will be here before we know it I am sure. Time is flying by. It just seems like a few days ago we still had a little over 100 days....where has the time gone?

4th of July weekend!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Sean and I both have Friday off of work!! We are both extremely excited to soak up some sun and spend some time together. Sean has been working some crazy hours this week so we really haven't got to see each other much. On Monday Sean worked until 3am, Tuesday til 2am, Wednesday til 1:30am, and today he went in at 7:45am but is hoping to get off work a little early. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is able to escape early.

Today is Melvin's 2nd Birthday!!! I can not believe he is already 2....it just seems like he was a little puppy and we were going to pick him up from the pet store not too long ago. I went to the pet bakery last night and bought him a cupcake so Sean and I are anxious to give that to him this evening.

Friday evening we have a wedding to go to in Indianapolis for one of Sean's fraternity brother. We are anxious to see all of our friends. It should be a good time! Congratulations Justin and Christin Hendrix!!
Saturday Mary is coming in town and we are going to Sean's dad to lay out by the pool for the day and then head downtown for the fireworks! Sean's cousins will be in town and I am anxious to get to spend a little time with them since I don't get to see them that often...plus we always have a great time when they are around!
So this will be yet another busy but fun weekend for Sean and I!

Wedding Invitations

The wedding invitations are all put together! In fact Sean and I mailed them out on Thursday. So keep you eye on for those in the mail sometime in the next couple of days!

Wedding Count Down:
64 more days!!!!

Weekend Festivities

We have yet another busy weekend. Tonight April, Laurie, and Melissa are coming over to hangout. April is going to be in town and is going to stop by. I am very excited because it has been while since I have seen April so we have a lot of catching up to do.

On Saturday Melissa, Laurie, Sean, and I are running a 5k in Fishers. Sean is a little nervous because he really hasn't ran much this summer due to the fact that he is always working. But I am sure he will do fine he always does. In fact the last time we ran a race and he hadn't ran in a long time he still out ran me. I am hoping running for me will go well due to the fact I am still in a lot of pain from my root canal. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that all of us do as well as we are hoping.

After the race we are planning on laying out at the pool and relaxing before heading to a DropKick Murphy's concert in downtown Indianapolis. Yes, I am going with Sean. I decided to be a good sport and join him and John. I am sure I will have fun I normally do at these types of things. I just tend to stick out in the crowd a little bit...hahah. As I am sure all of you guessed.

On Sunday Sean has band practice. While he is at band I am hoping to run. I haven't been running much lately due to my mouth issues. So hopefully I can run at least 10 miles on Sunday.....at least that is my goal. That evening we are going to Anderson to celebrate my mom's birthday!! We are planning on going out for dinner and then coming back and having fondue. I am really excited to try out my new fondue pot my friends got me several months ago.

Root Canal

On Tuesday I went to the dentist to have my root canal redone. The procedure really wasn't that bad because I was so sedated. However the doctor kept apologizing because she was having to go so deep in order to get all of the infection out. And come to find out I have to go again on July 20th to remove the rest of the infection.

Tuesday I took the remainder of the afternoon off to get some rest. Wednesday I left work around 3:30 because I was in so much pain and my pain medicine and antibiotics were making me sick to my stomach. I am back at work today and hope I can make it the entire day. Who knew one little tooth could cause you so much pain....OUCH!

Weekend

This weekend Sean and I were very busy.

On Saturday we had a surprise 50th birthday party of Loren (Sean's mom). We took Loren out to lunch at Scotty's around noon so we could get her out of the house for a little while. That way Don could start getting ready for the party and all the guest could arrive. Lunch lasted about two hours.....we had a good time catching up and discuss our wedding! Loren was extremely surprised when guest started showing up at her house. The party was a lot of fun! It is always fun getting to catch up with relatives that you don't get to see all the time.

Sunday was Father's Day so Sean and I spend some time visiting with our dads. On Sunday morning we went to Anderson and had breakfast with my Dad and Mom at IHOP. Then later that evening we meet his Dad, Lisa, James, Patrick, and Denise at Fireside Grill on the Southside.

Friends

Ina Marie is back from Italy!! She has been gone for a month studying abroad. I am so anxious to see her sometime soon so we can catch up on life.
She also needs to show me all of the pictures she took and tell me about the funny things that happened while she was away.

Mary is heading to Indy tonight to stay with Sean and I. She has a second interview to be a counselor in the Indianapolis area! We are very excited for her and hope she gets offered a third interview and then the job! So please keep Mary in your thoughts tomorrow morning....however I am sure she will do great!

I am looking forward to Friday night. Sean and I are making a trip to the South side to have dinner with Lindsey, Andy, and Noah. I haven't seen them for about a month and I can't wait to catch up on life and play with little Noah! Noah's birthday was at the beginning of June and unfortunately I was unable to attend his first birthday party. So Sean and I bought Noah a birthday present that we are anxious to give him.

Wedding Invitations

This week my mom and I have been working on putting Sean and I's wedding invitations together. Our hope is to get them out before next weekend so everyone will have them 2 months before the wedding! I never realized how much time people put into getting wedding invitations ready to mail out. My goodness it takes a lot of time.

We meet with the Hard Rock Cafe last night to discuss the room arrangement, time table, and decorations for the rehearsal dinner. Tonight we are meeting with the invitation lady to get the rehearsal dinner invitations ordered. Things are starting to come together. However I know there is still a lot to do. Last week I made a list of things Sean and I have to do between now and August 29th and the list is about 3 pages long. So we will be extremely busy between now and then. So don't be alarmed Indy friends and family if Sean and I start asking you for some help these next couple months. All of you who have offered to help me out several times I may just have to take you up on that offer.

Sean's Week Off

As many of you might already know Sean work announced a month or two ago that everyone would have to take 2 weeks of mandatory unpaid vacation time. So this week is his first week of vacation. He is planning on getting a lot of stuff done around the house and relax since he has been working so many hours these last couple of months. Unpaid vacation is never fun but I am sure Sean will enjoy his time off! I am looking forward to getting to spend some time with him when I get home from work each night that is for sure:)

I am having some extremely intense tooth pain. Today I went to the dentist and found out that the root canal I had years ago is bad. This is causing an infection to spread into my sinus cavity so I am on an antibiotic and pain medicine until I can go get my root canal redone on June 23rd. Lets just hope I can deal with this pain until then.

Bachelor Party!!

Sean's Bachelor party is being planned as we speak. John is in the process of planning a weekend get away to Raccoon-Cecil Hardin Lake (near Turkey Run). They are going to rent a house located on the lake the weekend of July 31st-August 2nd.

They are planning on floating down the river on tubes. This way they can relax and sight see all while still drinking beer. I am sure John has many other things planned for the weekend. I know Sean is looking forward to it!

Bachelorette Party!!

My Bachelorette Party is planned thanks to Mary!

We are going to Put-in-Bay, Ohio July 17-19th. Several of us will be leaving Friday afternoon from Indianapolis. It is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from Indianapolis so we want to get there in plenty of time so we can go out on Friday night. Saturday will be a fun day of laying out, shopping, drinking, and going out of course. Sunday we might lay out a little and then we will make the trip back to Indy.

I am looking forward to the fun festivities Mary has planned!

3 Months until the Wedding!

We are now only 3 months away!!
  • Last week we met with our pre martial counselor for the first time. Sean and I really liked him. He wants to meet with us a couple more times before the wedding. Our next meeting is next Thursday. Before the meeting Sean and I are suppose to get online to answer a few questions about ourselves as well as about each other. He will then compare the two. I am very anxious to see if Sean and I see ourselves the same as we see each other.

  • We picked out the wedding tuxes! We went to Men's Warehouse last Saturday and everything is set for the Groomsman to be fitted!

  • We meet with the florist, Deborah at Bride's Choice Florist yesterday. When I first went to the florist I decided on bright colored flowers (hot pink, orange, yellow, purple, and green). However after visiting the Conrad, Sean and I have decided to tame down the flower a little. We are now set and have everything picked out for the second time:) Lets hope this is the final change we have to make in regards to flowers.

  • Tomorrow we are meeting with the Hard Rock Cafe to finalize the Rehearsal Dinner menu and room arrangement.

Check back for more wedding updates:)
