Sean's New Band

As I mentioned before Sean has started up a new band. He is extremely excited and can't wait until they start playing shows! They recorded two songs this past weekend and hope to get more recorded in the near future. With two songs now recorded they can at least start sending demos to places so they can get some shows setup. They are a garage/pop punk band and they have been working hard to get ready for their first show.

A little bit about the band:

Members: Jack Waggoner - bass/vocals
Patrick McDaniel - drums
Sean - rhythm guitar
Russell Frank - lead guitar

Name: The Typoes

They have their first show on June 6th @ 9:30pm at Sopranos Lounge in Griffith, Indiana. If you are interested in attending here is a link to the Sopranos myspace page with additonal information. http://www.myspace.com/sopranoslounge

Bridemaid Dresses

My Bridemaids and I picked up the bridesmaids dresses two weeks ago and they look FANTASTIC!!! I absolutley love them in black and white!

Melvin

Well it has been a while since I last posted on here. Last week was a little on the crazy side. I was in Vegas for the ETA Conference for work on Tuesday-Thursday and then this weekend Melvin was attacked by a dog so I played nurse all weekend.

About Melvin's attack:
Sean and I were out walking Melvin on Saturday afternoon since it was so nice out. Some lady came walking by with her dog and let it approach Melvin. The other dog attacked Melvin as soon as he got close he and began biting his ear and neck. I kept trying to pull Melvin back but the other dog was on a retractable leash so every time I would pull on Melvin the dog would get closer. Sean ended up having to hit the other dog to get him to let go of Melvin.

We thought Melvin was okay so we tried to continue on our walk, but needless to say Melvin was not having it. So we took him home and later realized Melvin had a hole in his neck where the other dog had bit him. We immediately took Melvin to the closest emergency vet. The vet shaved the area, cleaned out the wound, placed a couple staples on his neck, gave him pain medicines, and gave him an antibiotic to hopefully prevent infection.

Melvin is doing fine he is just extremely tired and doesn't have much energy. He will have staples in for the next 10 to 14 days so lets just hope he can leave them alone that long.

I will keep you posted on his status.

Invitations are here!!

Things are really starting to fall into place for Sean and I's wedding! I was starting to think the wedding was never going to get here but now that the planning is picking up again I am getting more and more anxious for the big day! This week we have got so much done and I love it. My goal is to get as much done now as possible so closer to the wedding we can relax and enjoy ourselves.

Here is a list of a few things we got done this week so far:

1. The wedding invitations are here and we can pick them up sometime next week. I can not wait to see them with our information on them. The lady we ordered them from is in the process of addressing all of them for us. So that will save us a lot of time.

2. Our engagement pictures are scheduled. We are getting them done around the downtown Indianapolis area on Friday May 1st. So please keep your fingers crossed we have nice weather.

3. Our wedding bands are in the process of being made. They ended up having to keep my engagement ring for two weeks so the wedding band can match perfectly. I can't not wait until the two weeks are up because my hand feels naked without my ring.

4. We received a letter from the Conrad this week letting us know that it is time to schedule the tasting. So we are hoping to get that scheduled for sometime in late May or early June.

We have tons of meetings and exciting things planned these next couple of weeks/months to prepare for our big day!

Bridesmaid Dresses

The Bridesmaid dresses are in!! I am so excited to see them on everyone and see what they look like in black and white. The dress I originally saw was brown (like the one shown in the picture) but I am sure they look great in black. The bridesmaids and I are all going together on Saturday to pick them up.

On Saturday Sean and I are also running in the Race for the Cure in downtown Indianapolis. I am looking forward to running since I haven't ran in any races since last Summer. I have been running almost everyday preparing myself for the mini marathon in May so I am sure this race will seem very short in comparison. Sean hasn't really been running much so hopefully he will find sometime this week to run a few times. But if not I am sure he will be okay....maybe I can actually beat him who knows:)

Our Blog

Hello! I have decided to start a blog for Sean and I. This way our family and friends can keep track of us. We don't get to talk and see each of you as much as we like so this will help you keep track of the two of us! At least that is the plan anyways.

As many of you know Sean and I will be getting married August 29th, 2009 at the Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis. So in about 137 days not that I am counting down the days or anything. Our lives have been consumed with wedding planning, Sean working a lot of extra hours, Sean starting his band back up again, and I am training for the Giest Mini Marathon. So it is very busy and exciting time for the two of us.

I hope each of you will enjoy reading what is going on in our lives. I will try and post at least once a week so continue to check back.

Morgan

We have our wedding website updated so check it out! www.theknot.com/ourwedding/MorganBuck&SeanRooney
